World Capacity Builders and the DAV Foundation Enhance services Infrastructure for Autonomous Vehicles

Vancouver October 31, 2018 – DAV Foundation, Switzerland and World Capacity Builders, Canada, announce WCB’s on-boarding with the DAV Alliance, a move that will lay the foundation for a decentralized transportation infrastructure that will have built-in payments and incentives for all participants.

“We believe integrating WCB’s financial platform with the DAV protocol has enormous implications for users and providers of autonomous vehicle services. Participants that use the DAV Network can seamlessly and securely pay for usage of the Network with funds in their accounts, and, at the same time, participate in a variety of incentive programs. As long as a user has a phone number he/she can pay for services on the DAV network. This is a significant collaboration for both DAV and WCB.” said Stanley Loh, CEO of WCB.

THE DAV NETWORK enables an exchange of mobility services between two or more parties. DAV offers a network protocol designed to ease each step of a mission or transaction. The procedures could begin from an initial action, such as ordering a delivery with an autonomous vehicle to the seamless conclusion of a service fulfillment that ends with payment. Such steps are executed off-blockchain using peer-to-peer communication and are governed and enforced by a number of smart contracts on the blockchain.

The DAV open source protocol allows anyone to utilize transportation services or put their own manned or autonomous vehicles on the network. It creates a decentralized peer-to-peer transportation ecosystem. Additionally, DAV connects manned or autonomous vehicles to everyone on the DAV Network, enabling them to discover, communicate, and transact with one another. Users can have an entire network of self-driving vehicles at their fingertips to bring them anything, or to take them anywhere.

The new mobility economy allows a reimagining of the world of transportation, personal vehicles, ride-hailing, public transportation, and logistics. With a focus on shared mobility and access to fleets of vehicles, rather than a personal ownership model, the average consumer will be able to enjoy inexpensive, more efficient and more flexible transportation.

The DAV Network becomes more useful as more users join and the demand for the tokens increase. This helps create incentives, such as loyalty rewards or referrals, for early adopters who are vital for the creation of an active and growing ecosystem. People can participate in a vast and ever-growing network that is not owned or controlled by a central monopoly.

Users do not pay a fee to use the network, nor do they require permission to access it. People who own vehicles or the charging stations on the network can compete for customers and generate revenue for the services they provide on a peer-to-peer basis with relevant users.

WCB’s Blockchain based Payment Platform and Crypto Currency Exchange brings a simple financial transaction solution to the DAV Network. WCB supports the exchange of DAV tokens to be cashed out through WCB’s crypto exchange platform. In addition, anyone with a phone number can be a user since identification of the user is pre-determined. This is an attractive consumer option because of the ease of engaging a variety of transactions using fiat or cryptocurrency. This digitally-based monetization
platform has the potential to unlock the pent-up economic potential of hundreds of communities in the developing world by enabling the seamless transfer of DAV tokens to fiat.

This alliance sets the impetus for both parties to promote their respective ecosystems. As well, the DAV network will be integrated in WCB’s PrimeGate Cities Network, Prime OneCard Payment Gateway, and
Prime Communications Network. The PrimeGate City Program spans 2,500 cities and will provide a unique opportunity to bolster the global expansion for the DAV network.

John Frazer, CCO of the DAV Foundation said: “We are excited to work with WCB and their partners. We believe that their PrimeGate Cities effort will benefit from the use of the DAV protocol. The intersection of blockchain technology and autonomous vehicle technology will revolutionize the transportation industry, as well as provide vast opportunities to empower developing nations and poorer communities around the world.”
